The Organising Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Lagos State chapter, Mr Ayo Joseph, has resigned as one of the political appointees who wish to seek elective offices.
The Lagos State Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, in a statement to notified all political appointees and public servants who wish to engage in political activities to tender their resignation.
A source who does not want to be named confided in our correspondent that as of Friday afternoon, only one political appointee had resigned.
He noted that some other appointees currently serving in different positions were also expected to resign.
“So far, only one political appointee has tendered his resignation and that was last week. He is the Organising Secretary APC, Lagos State chapter, Ayo Joseph, who declared his interest to represent Amuwo-Odofin in the House of Representatives.
