The All Progressives Grand Alliance has pledged its readiness to collaborate with progressive political forces across party lines to build a Nigeria that all citizens can be proud of.
This commitment was reiterated by APGA’s National Chairman, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, during a press briefing in Abuja. Ezeokenwa’s remarks align with similar sentiments previously expressed by the party’s National Leader and Anambra State Governor, Charles Soludo.
Ezeokenwa highlighted that the resolution of APGA’s internal leadership crisis, sealed by a Supreme Court judgment affirming his chairmanship, has positioned the party to reclaim its prominence on Nigeria’s political stage.
“APGA proudly has elected representatives within and outside the South East. We are ready and willing to work with all other progressives to build Nigeria because we believe in our country,” Ezeokenwa declared.
He also announced measures aimed at fostering reconciliation within the party. “As part of our commitment to reconciliation, we have granted amnesty to party members who are genuinely repentant, irrespective of which side they supported during the crisis,” he said.
In addition, the chairman lauded President Bola Tinubu for appointing Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu as a minister, describing it as a commendable recognition of APGA’s contributions to Nigeria’s development.
Ezeokenwa reserved special praise for Governor Chukwuma Soludo, acknowledging his leadership both in Anambra State and within the party. He extolled Soludo’s policies and programmes, which he said were effectively showcasing the impact of visionary leadership on societal progress.
“Governor Soludo’s work demonstrates how governance can bring value to society. His efforts inspire confidence in the ability of APGA to deliver meaningful development,” Ezeokenwa remarked.
With its leadership crisis behind it, APGA has expressed readiness to contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s progress, fostering unity and collaboration among progressive political entities.
