Olayide Owolabi Adelami has been sworn in as the new Deputy Governor of Ondo State.
Adelami who took an oath of office from the Ondo State Chief Judge, Justice Olusegun Odusola, was sworn in on Thursday, February 1, 2024.
The swearing-in ceremony was held at the International Culture and Event Centre, Akure, the state capital.
The retired Deputy Clerk to the National Assembly was earlier cleared by the Ondo State House of Assembly last week, after his nomination by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
Premium Politics reported that Governor Aiyedatiwa on January 24, nominated Adelami as his Deputy.
His nomination came barely six hours after the state governor dissolved the State Executive Council.
