Adeleke’s govt built on lies – APC scribe

Senator Ajibola Basiru

The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Ajibola Basiru expressed disappointment over the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, noting that the current administration of the governor is built on lies.

Senator Basiru who disclosed this while addressing the APC members in the state, during a meeting in Osogbo on Friday, assured that APC will take over the state in the next governorship election.

The former senator who further chided the state governor for not being truthful with urban renewal projects, encouraged the Osun APC members to commence mobilising ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election, to unseat Adeleke from power.

“The much-mouthed borehole per ward is a fluke. Any Government built on lies and propaganda is bound to crumble,” he said.

Sympathising with workers in the State for the alleged hardship being subjected to, by the current administration of Adeleke, the APC national scribe queried the use of the first tranche of N2b palliative fund from the Federal Government.

“I sympathize with Osun workers for being subjected to more hardship. What has Adeleke done with the first tranche of N2b from the Federal Government when states such as Kwara, Ekiti, Ogun, Lagos, Imo, Anambra Kano and even Kebbi with war-ravaged Borno have made workers smile in addition to their salaries?

“Has any Osun worker got as little as a cup from bags of rice Osun PDP got from the Federal Government?

“Allocation from the Federal Government to Osun has hugely increased. It is regrettable however that the increment has reflected neither workers’ welfare nor tangible projects for the people,” he claimed.
