Political activist, Aisha Yesufu, has reacted to the booking of former United States President, Donald Trump, at the Fulton County jail.
Premium Politics reported that Trump had surrendered himself to authorities in the US state of Georgia, where the former president faces criminal charges over his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.
The former president was fingerprinted and had his mugshot taken when he surrendered at the Fulton County jail.
Trump decried the case as a “travesty of justice” as he departed Georgia. He is also the first former American president to have his mugshot taken.
Reacting to this development via her X handle, Yesufu wrote, “The day Rule of Law leaves sheets of papers and become part and parcel of our lives is the day Nigeria will be that country you are yearning for.”
