The Senator representing Adamawa Central, Aishatu Binani, has won the All Progressives Congress governorship primary in the state.
According to The Cable, Binani secured 430 votes to defeat Nuhu Ribadu who had 288 votes; former governor Jibrilla Bindow who secured 103 votes; and others to win the APC governorship ticket.
Although the exercise took place on Thursday, she was declared the winner on Friday morning in Yola, the state capital.
Binani is also former a member of the House of Representatives who represented Yola North/Yola South/Girei Federal Constituency as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 7th Assembly.
