Alleged corruption: Court orders substituted service on Ganduje, family

A Kano State High Court has authorized the service of corruption charges on All Progressives Congress Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, his wife, Hafsat Umar, and son, Umar Abdullahi.

The state government filed a petition against the Ganduje family and others, alleging misappropriation and diversion of billions of Naira in public funds during Ganduje’s governorship, according to Politics Nigeria.

Justice Amina Adamu-Aliyu granted the order for substituted service via newspaper publication.

The case took a turn when the 6th respondent’s counsel challenged the prosecution team’s authority, citing a specific fiat.

The court adjourned the hearing to July 11, ordering all parties to present their fiat.

Ganduje and his family face allegations of bribery, misappropriation, and diversion of public funds, alongside several others.
