The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Akwa Ibom, Umo Eno, has been declared the winner of the state election in a landslide victory.
Eno, popular for his promise to implement an ‘happy hour’ moment for civil servants in the state every Friday if elected into office, won 29 of the 31 Local Government Areas.
While the Young Progressive Party won two LGAs, the All Progressive Congress did not win a single LGA.
