Buhari assures Nigerians in US of continued support

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (Ret’d.), has expressed great pleasure towards the conduct of certain Nigerians living in the United States, who have continued to excel in their chosen fields and assured them of his continued support.

Buhari rounded off his participation at the US-Africa Leaders Summit, at the Presidential Townhall Meeting in Washington, where he had a meeting with Nigerians in the diaspora, commending them for their excellence.

Channels TV reported that in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, Buhari assured that the Federal Government will continue to support them.

This was immediately evidenced by the approvals he recently gave for the evacuation of Nigerians stranded in Libya, South Africa, Ukraine, UAE, and India.

He also explained that the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission was established to facilitate interactions with the “ambassadors.”
