Ahead of the February 3 bye-elections, the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, has called for massive turnout of voters.
Gbajabiamila made the call on Thursday while drumming support for House of Representatives candidate, Faud Laguda, in the Saturday Surulere I Bye-election in Lagos State.
Gbajabiamila led hundreds of supporters of the APC in a convoy of vehicles to move around the streets from Teslim Balogun Stadium to Shitta Roundabout, Adeniran Ogunsanya, Bode Thomas, Iponri Under Bridge, Alaka, National Stadium Ojuelegba, Empire Under Bridge back to Ojuelegba, Itire Road, Ogunlana Drive, Masha Under Bridge and other places, according to The Nation.
The Chief of Staff to the President also met people one-on-one to make them see reason to exercise their franchise on Saturday and cast their votes for APC flagbearer.
Meanwhile, a member, Lagos State House of Assembly, Surulere Constituency, Desmond Elliott, has enjoined residents of Surulere to cast their vote for Laguda on Saturday.
He said: “If voted, he will represent us at the Federal House of Representatives. Please come out early enough and vote. By the grace of God, we will get the victory.”
