The Catholic Archbishop of Kaduna Diocese, Most Rev. Matthew Man-Oso Ndagoso, has blamed President Bola Tinubu for the current economic hardship facing Nigerians.
Ndagoso who bemoaned the hardship Nigerians are facing while speaking with journalists at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cathedral in Kaduna, condemned the manner Tinubu removed the fuel subsidy despite the unstable economy in the country.
According to the Catholic priest, the President should have removed the subsidy gradually and not like a time bomb.
Ndagoso who also blamed the government’s bad policies for the hardship people are facing, urged Tinubu to wake up to his responsibilities before Nigerians die of hunger.
According to him, Nigeria has never had it so bad as this, adding that ineffective leaders were the major problems the country was confronting.
“Nigerians are suffering and all of these sufferings are avoidable. But they impose bad policies. Tinubu’s policies have compounded the problems.
“Anyone who cares about Nigeria shouldn’t have removed subsidy, Tinubu should have done it gradually and not like a bomb blast,” he said.
