The Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo, has approved the distribution of Christmas bonuses worth N15,000 to every member of the state civil service.

Tribune reported that the Governor made the announcement, on Tuesday, during the Public Service Day celebration at the Jerome Udorji Secretariat Complex, Awka, the state capital.

In addition, Soludo assured that wages will be increased across board by 10% for all civil servants.

Following the announcements, the audience at the event venue screamed with excitement in rejoicing and thanksgiving to the governor.

The governor, however, urged them, not to relent on their hard work, while assuring all workers of prioritizing their welfare.

He also stated that his administration will continue to push with its five pillars of development.

Attendees at the annual event include: the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu; Head of Service, Barrister Theodora Igwegbe; National President of ASATU, Barrister Titus Akpudo among others, with awards presentation to some civil servants.
