Delta State government has announced that the state governor, Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori will on Monday, September 25, 2023, swear in the electoral body in the state.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Secretary to the state government, Dr Kingsley Emu on Friday.
According to the statement, the Chairman and members of the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission will be inaugurated by the governor, at the Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba, at 10 am on Monday.
Dr Emu noted that the governor will also inaugurate the Chairmen and members of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency, as well as the Local Government Service Commission, Delta State Contributory Health Commission and Wari, Uvwi and Environs Special Areas Development Agency at this same venue, on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.
The statement reads: “The Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon Sheriff F.O Oborevwori will on Monday 25th, September, 2023 swear in the Chairman and Members of the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) at the Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba by 10 am.
“According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government Dr. Kingsley Emu, the Governor will also inaugurate the Chairmen and Members of the Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency(DSCTDA), Warri, Uvwie and Environs Special Areas Development Agency (WUEDA) Local Government Service Commission(LGSC) and the Delta State Contributory Health Commission (DSCHC) on Tuesday, 26th September 2023 at the Unity Hall, Government House, Asaba by 10 am.”
