The Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State has said its governorship candidate for the state in the just concluded March poll, Sheriff Oborevwori’s victory has come to stay.

The Chairman of the Coalition for Media Politics and Governance of the PDP and Executive Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Communications, Fred Latimore, said this in Asaba on Sunday, according to New Telegraph.

According to him, the candidates of the All Progressive Congress, Ovie Omo-Agege and his Social Democratic Party counterpart, Kenneth Gbagi, are using the state election petition tribunal to assuage their woeful outing.

In his words, “The PDP does not expect anyone to cast aspersion on Omo-Agege and Gbagi for filing petitions. It is a gradual strategy to snuff out the shame that is usually associated with acute failure and embarrassing defeat.”

The PDP chieftain insisted that Omo-Agege and Gbagi deployed the tactical legal tussle to stay afloat in the news.
