Edo 2024: Sowore flags off AAC gov campaign, promises victory

Former presidential candidate and national leader of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, has officially launched the party’s governorship campaign in Edo State.

Addressing a massive crowd of supporters at the Youth House, Akpakpava Road, Sowore expressed confidence in the party’s chances, saying, “The change you desire is here today. Cry no more, Edo State is about to regain her lost glory.”

The event was attended by top party officials, including Chairman Gabriel Erhahon, Deputy Mike Ogbanya, State Secretary Pastor Nathaniel, National Organising Secretary Paul Oshiokhue, and TIB National Coordinator Juwon Sanyaolu, among others, according to Leadership.

Edo State AAC chairman, Gabriel Erhahon, assured the people of a divine change and urged them to come out in large numbers to vote and protect their votes on September 21.

The AAC governorship candidate, Dr. Oberiafoh Udoh, presented his progressive agenda, focusing on investment, education, security, and agriculture, among others.

He promised to honour the confidence reposed in him by the people and ensure that the state’s dreams become a reality.

Sowore’s presence and endorsement have boosted the party’s morale, and the AAC is poised to make a significant impact in the September 21 governorship election.

He assured the people that he would not betray the confidence reposed on him by the state, when elected.

He stressed that his tenure would ensure that the dream of the state becomes to reality while urging the people to give him a chance to prove to them what God has deposited in him.
