Edo gov dissolves ministries, agencies’ boards

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, announced the immediate dissolution of the boards of all ministries, departments, and agencies in the state on Wednesday.

The decision follows Okpebholo’s swearing-in as the new governor on Tuesday, after the conclusion of Godwin Obaseki’s tenure.

The announcement was made in a statement issued by Okpebholo’s Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua.

The statement also confirmed that all permanent secretaries appointed from outside the public and civil service were relieved of their positions.

The affected appointees have been directed to return all government property in their possession to the most senior public officers in their respective MDAs.
