Ensure equitable distribution of the palliative, PRP urges FG

The Peoples Redemption Party has urged the federal government to ensure equitable distribution of palliatives in states.

The call was made by the acting national publicity secretary of the party, Muhammed Ishaq in a statement in Abuja on Monday.

Isaq was reacting to reports of looting of trucks conveying food items in some cities in the country.

He said, “Government should ensure equitable distribution of the palliative resources which we have seen a few states done.

“Most states are simply pocketing the additional resources that have come their way from both petrol subsidy removal and merger of exchange rate.”

The party opined that the looting in some places is a reflection of the challeblnges faced by the larger society, according to Peoples Gazette.

“The PRP believes the looting incident in Zaria is a symptom of a larger problem that requires collective effort and commitment from all stakeholders inclusive of our industrialists and the business community,’’ he said.
