The former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Sokoto State, Ibrahim Milgoma, has passed away after a prolonged illness.
His death was confirmed in a statement released on Wednesday by the party’s spokesman, Hassan Sanyinnawal.
“The late Ibrahim Milgoma was a distinguished gentleman and a respected leader who contributed immensely to the development of Sokoto State and Nigeria in general,” the statement noted.
The PDP Sokoto State Chapter praised Milgoma’s dedication during his tenure, saying: “Sokoto PDP has indeed lost a father and a respected leader who piloted the affairs of the party with the dedication and commitment that ensured the victory of our great party in the 2019 general election.”
The party extended prayers for Milgoma, saying: “We pray that Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannat Firdaus.”
They also expressed their deepest sympathies to his family and the people of Sokoto State, urging them to find strength during this difficult time.
Milgoma passed away on Tuesday, and his death has been described as a significant loss to the party and the state.
