The Federal Government of Nigeria officially handed over the newly established Federal University of Applied Sciences in Kachia, Kaduna, on Tuesday, February 11.
The event was presided over by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
The university was created in fulfillment of President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to establish a federal university in the southern part of Kaduna.
Stanley Nkwocha, Special Adviser to the Vice President on Media and Communication, shared the news on X, highlighting the significance of the event.
Notable attendees included Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung (representing Kaduna South), and Daniel Amos, member of the House of Representatives for Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency. Other dignitaries present at the ceremony were Minister of Education Tunji Alausa, Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission Ola Olukayode, Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa, and several other key figures.
Nkwocha said, “In attendance at the event were Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani; Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, representing Kaduna South; Daniel Amos, member representing the Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency.
Others are Minister of Education Tunji Alausa; Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ola Olukayode; Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa; and many other dignitaries.
