Five facts about new Youth state minister Ayodele Olawande

President Bola Tinubu on Sunday announced the nomination of Mr. Ayodele Olawande as the new Minister of State for Youth.

 

He made this known through a press statement issued by presidential spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale.

 

Below are five facts about Ayodele Olawande who is set to become the next minister of youth, state pending the confirmation of the senate.

 

 

i. Ayodele Olawande, popularly known as Ayo Wisdom, has been a staunch advocate for youth empowerment for years. His journey into politics was driven by a desire to provide opportunities for Nigerian youth to harness their talents and contribute to the nation’s development.

 

ii. Ayo Olawande began his career as an educator, where he played a vital role in shaping young minds. His experience in education instilled in him the importance of quality education and values in youth development.

 

iii. Ayo’s commitment to the All Progressives Congress led to various leadership roles within the party. He served as the Youth Coordinator for the APC Lagos State Chapter, where he engaged young people in the political process and encouraged their active participation in shaping the nation’s future.

 

iv. Before his nomination as Minister of State for Youth, Ayo held diverse roles in both government and the APC. He served as the Personal Assistant to the Special Adviser Innovation to the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, and held positions such as Strategic Communication Officer at Emerging Community Africa and Operation Manager at The Way Project Nigeria Limited.
