United States Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, has assured that the G7 summit, which is set to take place in Italy from 13 to 15 June 2024, will showcase the strength and cooperation of the world’s leading democracies.
In a tweet on Saturday, Blinken said that the G7 continues to strengthen its role to steer the world’s advanced democracies, demonstrating unprecedented unity and action on issues that are defining the 21st century. He added that the G7 members stand together during this moment of intense challenge.

The G7 summit, which will mark the 50th anniversary of the group, is expected to address a range of topics, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, trade, security, and human rights. The summit will also feature the participation of the European Union, as well as guest invitees from other regions.
The Italian prime minister, Giorgia Meloni, who will host the summit in the city of Fasano in Apulia, said that the G7 summit will be an opportunity to reaffirm the values and principles that unite the group, and to promote a common vision for a more prosperous, peaceful, and sustainable world.
