The Abdullahi Ganduje-led National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress on Tuesday was engaged with members of the Ondo State House of Assembly over plots by the lawmakers to impeach the state Deputy Governor, Lucky Ayedatiwa.

Members of the Aminu Bello Masari-led 9-member reconciliation committee, as well as the Ondo state APC chairman, Ade Adetimehin were also at the meeting.

Following the meeting, the Ondo State House of Assembly agreed to suspend the impeachment process embarked on, against Aiyedatiwa.

This was disclosed by the ruling All Progressives Congress, via a post on its official X handle on Tuesday.

The APC noted that the lawmakers made the decision after meeting with the Reconciliation Committee, set up by the party to propose a solution to the issue between the lawmakers and the deputy governor.

According to the party, the Ondo lawmakers have also agreed to let the party supremacy take its course.

It would be recalled that the APC recently set up a Reconciliation Committee, to end the impeachment crisis in Ondo State.
