Following the speculations that the political rifts between the two former governors of Kano state, Abdullahi Gandude, and Engineer Rabiu Kwakwanso, costs the latter, his possible ministerial nomination by President Bola Tinubu, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Uche Nwosu, has revealed that Ganduje cannot stop Kwakwanso from joining the APC.

Nwosu stated this while speaking to newsmen during his courtesy visit to Ganduje at the Party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, to congratulate him, on his victory as the party’s National Chairman.

According to the former governorship aspirant in Imo state, no single individual owns a party, adding that Ganduje won’t stop anyone from joining their party.

“Yes. They had issues but not a single person can own a party. Kwankwaso coming will also help him in Kano,” Nwosu said, adding that no one should be surprised seeing Ganduje and Kwankwaso resolving their political differences.

“They can resolve their issues in the APC,” Nwosu said, adding that the Democratic system in Africa needs to be strengthened.

“Democratic system in Africa needs to be strengthened because the worst civilian rule is better than the best military rule.

“You can now see what is happening in Niger. The political class must be closer to the people. I condemned the military takeover in Niger because it will not help us in West Africa and Africa.

“Look at what is happening in Niger. Most investors are leaving. Some people told me, especially multinationals, that they are leaving the country to where they can do their business,” Nwosu said.

He however implored Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration, urging them to wait for at least a year before judging his performance.

“I have known the party chairman right from when he was the Kano State governor. I just went to visit him as somebody that I have known very well and also to show my solidarity for his emergence as the chairman of the party and also to advise him on the way forward for the party and then ask for proper reconciliation of members of the party and build a united party.”

While commenting on the forthcoming governorship election in Imo state, Nwosu revealed that he won’t be contesting for the election now, noting that he will be supporting the second-term aspiration of Governor Hope Uzodinma.

He added that his support for Uzodinma was in tandem with the dictates of the party.

“I am a committed member of the party in Imo State and would always work for the progress of the party.

“I am not running for the seat for now. Hope Uzodinma is the candidate of the party. We can’t have two APC candidates in Imo State,” Nwosu said.
