Gbenga Daniel denies rift with Dapo Abiodun

The Senator representing Ogun East in the 10th Senate, Gbenga Daniel, has denied media reports of a rift between him and the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun.

Daniel made this known in an interview on a programme on Channels Television on Tuesday, stating that he has no issue or any major disagreement with the incumbent governor.

According to the former governor, “the perceived rift might have emanated from the last governorship election in the state, which was keenly contested by Abidoun of the All Progressives Congress and Ladi Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party”.

Daniel said some people in the state have accused him of “not supporting Abiodun in his re-election bid but supported Bola Tinubu to win the 2023 presidential election”.
