Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has appointed Ms. Ivie Idahosa as the General Manager of the Edo State Community and Social Development Agency.
According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Musa Ikhilo, the appointment takes immediate effect.
Ivie Idahosa, daughter of respected Edo political leader Hon. Charles Idahosa, is a highly accomplished professional with a wealth of experience in agriculture, rural development, strategic marketing, and healthcare management.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and Rural Development and two Master’s degrees, one in International Marketing Management from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland, and another in Data Analytics and Healthcare Services Management from Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey, USA.
Idahosa is also a member of prominent professional bodies in both the UK and USA, including the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Project Management Professional. Her expertise spans agriculture, rural development, data-driven decision-making, and strategic marketing.
With a proven track record in fostering community development, driving growth, and enhancing efficiency, she is expected to make a transformative impact in Edo State, promoting sustainable development and improving the quality of life for local communities.
A native of Ehor in Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State, Idahosa was an aspirant for the Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode Federal Constituency seat in the 2023 general elections.
Until her appointment on February 24, 2025, she served as a Principal Manager at Cooper University Hospital, a renowned research hospital in New Jersey, USA. Her experience in agriculture, rural development, and global healthcare is seen as a valuable asset for her new role at the CSDA.
