According to Naija News, the governor voted in Ward 9, Unit 7A Obio/Akpor Local Government Area on Saturday.

The Integrity Group leader left Nigerians in the dark about which presidential candidate he supported until after the elections, when he revealed, the G-5 governors unanimously agreed to work for either Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress or Peter Obi of the Labour Party, as against his own party’s candidate, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party.

However, for the governorship election in the state, he has made it known that he is supporting, Siminialayi Fubara of the PDP to succeed him.

Fubara is contesting the governorship position together with Tonye Cole of the APC, who has the backing of Wike’s predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi.
