Group warns Tinubu Against Appointing Bwala to replace Ngelale

The Nigeria Muslim League Group has cautioned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu against appointing Daniel Bwala to replace Ajuri Ngelale who recently stepped down as his spokesperson, citing trust concerns.

NIMUL’s spokesperson, Professor Mika’il Jibrin, on Sunday, emphasized that Bwala’s past criticism of President Tinubu’s Muslim/Muslim ticket makes him unsuitable for the role.

The group questioned how someone who has championed a campaign of calumny can be trusted with sensitive information, according to Legit.

NIMUL advised President Tinubu to seek a more trustworthy individual for the position, emphasizing the importance of respect and trust from the Presidency for Nigerian Muslims.

This comes after Ajuri Ngelale, the current special adviser on Media and Publicity, announced his indefinite leave due to family health challenges.

“NIMUL cannot trust Bwala in a position where he would be privy to critical issues that could make or mar Nigeria as a country.

“President Tinubu should understand that Nigerian Muslims appreciate respect and trust from the Presidency, and therefore, NIMUL advises the President to look for other individuals’ worthy of trust.”
