How to end Nigerians' medical tourism - Peter Obi

Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi said Nigerians’ medical tourism will become a past experience if private hospitals are empowered to perform at per.

Obi said this on Wednesday during his visit to Baze University Hospital in Abuja, owned by his vice presidential candidate, Datti Baba-Ahmed.

The former Anambra State governor lauded the excellence and quality of the hospital which he described as an exemplary reflection of excellence.

He further opined that more of such private owned hospitals in the country will end the medical tourism embarked by Nigerians who has lost faith in its medical institutions.

Peter in a Twitter post said, “This morning, I had the privilege of visiting the Baze University Hospital in Abuja and inspecting the facilities. Dr Datti Baba-Ahmed was on hand to show me around. This institution is exemplary and reflective of a centre of excellence, and what domestic entrepreneurs and investors can contribute to nation-building. With several more facilities like this, medical tourism for Nigerians will be a thing of the past. This is simply awesome.”
