The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has said that he won’t leave any inheritance for his children save the education he gave them.
In a statement signed by his spokesman, Garba Shehu, Buhari said during a Sallah homage visit to the Emir of Daura, Faruk Faruk.
Speaking to the youths on employability and the need to acquire good education and well-needed skills, Buhari said, “My focus has always been on training the children to be relevant wherever they find themselves”.
According to him, every child should get proper education, adding that the knowledge acquired should not be towards getting government jobs as there are no more jobs in government anymore.
He added that his only legacy to his children is education as “they already know that I am not leaving anything for anyone to inherit”.
