Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has stated that he has no plans to join forces with any presidential candidate in the forthcoming presidential election.
In an interview on Channels Television on Monday, the former governor of Anambra State said his focus is to win the 2023 presidential election and to deliver his mandate if elected the nation’s next president.
“Nobody goes into a match to lose, everyone is going there to win. I am going into this contest to win.
“I am going into this contest to be the next president of Nigeria. So, thinking about other candidates is not for me, I am going to win and I believe I have all it takes to win.
“I am not dwelling on my aspirant, my concentration is focused on how to help Nigerians, pull them out of poverty and give jobs to the youths.
“Other candidates have their plans, I have mine and all I am focused on I helping Nigerians,” he stated.
Aside from Obi, other leading candidates in next February’s presidential election include Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party.
