There may be trouble looming for the Governor-elect in Abia State and the Labour Party candidate in the last governorship election in the state, Allex Otti, as the outgoing governor of the state, Okezie Ikpeazu has faulted the credibility of the election that produced him as a winner and the governor-elect of the state.

Speaking on the outcome of the election on Thursday, the outgoing governor alleged that the returning officer for the Independent National National Electoral Commission in the state, Nnannaya Oti was biased by doing everything in favor of the LP in the March governorship election in the state.

The governor, who revealed that he had earlier foreseen the trouble, said he complained to the electoral umpire, about the possibility of the returning officer being biased, but the INEC assured him that she would be fair to all, during the election.

It will recall that the INEC returning officer alleged that she was threatened to compromise the election result but she stood her ground.

However, Mr. Ikpeazu while reacting to the allegation, said it was an unfortunate comment that Nnannaye-Oti made, saying that she was “verily happy” that she “favored” Alex Lotti’s party during the poll.
