The Labour Party in Imo State has denied the allegation by the All Progressives Congress, that it presented a forged Certified True Copy of the BVAS document to the Independent National Electoral Commission during the ongoing inspection of voting materials at the commission’s office in Owerri, the state capital.
While denying the forgery allegation by the APC in a statement issued by its Publicity Secretary, Bright Offurum on Friday, the Imo LP maintained that the results on CTC presented by the party were the results collated at the polling unit’s level during the election, noting that the party did not forge the CTC.
APC had alleged on Friday, that the LP presented a forged CTC copy to the commission, during the ongoing inspection of the just concluded electoral materials at the INEC office in Warri, the state capital.
Reacting to the allegation, Offurum said: “The results we presented were the results we collated from the polling units. We are saying that let us have access to the election materials from where you said you declared the results from simple.”
