The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the Peoples Democratic Party, governorship candidate of Taraba state, Kefas Agbu as the governor-elect.
According to Daily Post, he was declared by the returning officer, Professor Mohammed Ahmad Abdullaziz, in Jalingo, in the early hours of Tuesday.
Agbu, polled a total of 257,926 votes to defeat the New Nigerian Peoples Party’s candidate,Professor Sani Yahaya, who scored a total votes of 202,277.
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha came third with 142,502 votes.
