Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has expressed confidence that the policies implemented by President Bola Tinubu since taking office on May 29, 2023, will lead to a significant transformation of Nigeria. Speaking at a one-day lecture organized by the Arewa Think Tank in Kaduna, Sani emphasized that these reforms would bring noticeable improvements to the lives of citizens nationwide.
Sani highlighted that Tinubu’s track record as the former governor of Lagos State demonstrated his capability as a performer. The event, which focused on the “Agricultural Perspective of Nigeria in the Last 64 Years of Independence,” saw the governor urging Nigerians to be patient with the president as the positive effects of his policies unfold.
The governor pointed out that Nigeria is already seeing improvements, particularly in the economy, and that the benefits of the president’s reforms would soon be apparent. He stressed the importance of public support for President Tinubu during this critical time of transition.
Sani also addressed the decline of agriculture in Nigeria since the discovery of oil, noting that agriculture was once the cornerstone of the nation’s economy. He stressed that the shift away from agriculture has led to a range of socio-economic challenges, including poverty, unemployment, and insecurity. To address these issues, Sani called for a renewed focus on agriculture and significant investment in the sector, which he believes holds the key to the country’s future prosperity.
