Katsina State Governor, Mallam Dikko Radda, signed the Open Government Partnership report on Tuesday, committing to transparent, participatory, and accountable governance.
He pledged to continue inclusive, accountable leadership for Katsina State.
Radda stated, “As Katsina State progresses in its journey to becoming an OGP member, the people of the state can expect more inclusive and transparent governance practices aimed at improving public trust and driving sustainable development.”
The Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Bello Kagara, submitted a comprehensive report detailing preparatory activities for Katsina State’s entry into the OGP. The report highlighted progress made in stakeholder meetings, leading to key decisions and plans, including the formation of a 30-member Steering Committee.
Radda mandated the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning to continue engaging with the OGP National Secretariat to develop action plans and letters of intent, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability.
