Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has approved the release of N585.4 million for the payment of tuition fees for 100 students studying at various universities in India.
The Commissioner for Higher Education, Alhaji Isah Abubakar-Tunga, disclosed this at a news conference on Monday in Birnin Kebbi.
He emphasized that the payment is aimed at supporting Kebbi indigenes pursuing higher education in India, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to promoting academic and moral excellence in the tertiary education sector.
Abubakar-Tunga urged all citizens of the state to continue praying for the success of the present administration during their individual and collective prayers.
