Keyamo, aviation stakeholders to discuss sector challenges

The 28th Annual Conference of the League of Airport and Aviation Correspondents is set to hold on July 26th at the Providence Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos.

The conference will focus on the theme “Aviation Survivability Amidst A Challenging Macro-economic Environment”.

According to a statement, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr Festus Keyamo, will lead heads of aviation agencies and key industry stakeholders in discussions on how to overcome the current challenges facing the aviation sector.

The conference will provide a platform for stakeholders to brainstorm and proffer solutions to the challenges facing the industry, according to TheSun.

The statement added that the conference will feature a keynote speech by the Managing Director of Nigeria Airspace Management Agency, Umar Farouk, and a panel session moderated by former Managing Director of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Captain Hamisu Yadudu.

Other industry experts and stakeholders are also expected to attend.

The conference is expected to address pressing issues in the aviation sector, including access to foreign exchange, high fuel costs, maintenance costs, and regulatory constraints.

The statement noted that the conference will provide a unique opportunity for stakeholders to come together and find solutions to the challenges facing the industry.

“The LAAC 2024 Annual Conference will stand out from the past editions because of the aptness of issues to be discussed and the quality of industry leaders and dignitaries that will be available to brainstorm on how the industry can navigate through the existing growth constraining challenges, especially aspects that have to do with economics,” the committee said.
