Dino Melaye

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the ongoing Kogi State governorship election, Dino Melaye, has won the election in his polling unit.

Melaye scored a total of 210 votes, to defeat his main challenger, Ahmed Ododo of the All Progressives Congress, who polled 22 votes to come second at the polling unit.

According to the Daily Post, the candidate of the African Democratic Congress, Leke Abejide, came a distant third with a total of 7 votes at the polling unit.

Premium Politics reported that Senator Melaye had earlier alleged that result sheets were pre-filled at all polling units in Ogori/Magongo local government areas of the state.

The former lawmaker who represented Kogi West Senatorial District at the Senate, alleged that the ruling APC was responsible for the pre-filled result sheets at the local government area of the state.
