Kogi: From grand reception to meeting Ribadu, Ododo lists marks 100 days achievements

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State has highlighted several achievements from his first 100 days in office, including a meeting with National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu and a trip to his hometown.

On Thursday, Governor Ododo shared infographics emblazoned with his photo containing lists of his first 100 days in office achievements via his official X handle.

“We will continue to do more for the good people of Kogi State. God Bless Kogi State. God Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” Mr. Ododo wrote, sharing the lists of his achievements across sectors in the state.

Among the listed achievements, the Kogi governor included “meeting with the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu,” as his seventh achievement under the governance category, while “Announcement of the FIRST SET OF APPOINTMENTS on the first day of office” was listed as his first achievement in office.

The list also included a visit to his village, Okene, a “courtesy visit by Ife-Olukotun Community in Yagba East Local Government Area,” participation in the Meeting of Progressive Governors Forum in Abuja, and a “joint meeting of the Governors of Kogi, Ondo, Taraba with the Hon. Minister of Agriculture & Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari.”

Governor Ododo also mentioned the “distribution of 105 operational vehicles and 42 motorcycles to vigilante services for community policing” as achievements.

Mr. Ododo, 42, who served as the auditor-general for local governments during ex-Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration, succeeded his principal after winning the November 2023 Kogi governorship election.

While Ododo is marking his first 100 days in office, his closest rival in the election, Murtala Ajaka, is challenging his victory before the election tribunal.
