Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq has sworn in six new judges to serve at the Kwara State High Court, charging them to uphold justice with integrity and fairness.
The swearing-in ceremony took place on Friday, September 13, at the Government House in Ilorin.
Governor AbdulRazaq urged the newly appointed judges to discharge their duties with diligence, impartiality, and an overriding interest in the community and national security.
He said, “I urge the newly appointed judges to discharge their duties with diligence, impartiality, and an overriding interest in the community and national security.
“They are entrusted with the immense responsibility of ensuring justice and protecting the rights of every citizen.”
The governor congratulated the new judges and their families, acknowledging their hard work and dedication.
“I congratulate the new judges and their families. Their noble qualities and dedication have brought them to this moment,” he added.
As part of his administration’s commitment to strengthening the judiciary, Governor AbdulRazaq revealed ongoing efforts to improve judicial infrastructure in the state.
He stated, “Our government recently approved the reconstruction of the former Revenue Court at GRA Ilorin to serve as courtrooms for more judges.
“We are also working on creating a more suitable environment for the Revenue Courts, and plans are underway for the construction of a new court complex to provide more befitting courtrooms.”
