Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has once again found himself in the spotlight after hinting at a romantic relationship with Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
This revelation comes shortly after his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia, with 2Baba expressing his intention to take things further with Osawaru.
Speculation about their relationship intensified following 2Baba’s surprise appearance at the Edo State House of Assembly during plenary on Monday. A video of the two at a Lagos nightclub further fueled the rumors.
On Tuesday, 2Baba took to Instagram to address the swirling rumors in a video post captioned, “To Whom It May kwansighn. #I don yarn my truth. Feel free to continue alleging. We shall all be alright.” In the video, he denied that Osawaru played any role in his split with Annie, stating:
“Allegedly, I have been seeing so many things, so many people coming up with their own false narratives and malicious nonsense after I posted that stuff that I posted. Yes, I posted what I posted.
“Hon. Natasha has been dragged, she has been called all sorts of names, she has been labelled as a home breaker.
“She is a young brilliant amazing woman and she had nothing to do with what is happening between me and Annie in our marriage.”
He continued, “Yes, I love her, she is amazing, she is cool, I want to marry her.”
By Wednesday morning, Natasha’s name had become the top-trending topic on X (formerly Twitter) as social media erupted with reactions.
Honorable Natasha Irobosa Osawaru, a prominent Nigerian politician, currently serves as the Deputy Majority Leader in the Edo State House of Assembly. Born on November 14, 1994, she is the daughter of Desmond Osawaru and Philomina Osawaru, and the granddaughter of Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, a well-known businessman and philanthropist.
Representing the Egor constituency in the house, Natasha Osawaru is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party. She holds a law degree from Igbinedion University and a master’s degree in Film Production from Full Sail University in Florida.
Recently, Natasha Osawaru has been thrust into the media spotlight due to speculations about her relationship with 2Baba. Rumors of a romantic involvement began circulating amid reports of marital issues between 2Baba and his wife, Annie Idibia. However, Natasha, through her spokesperson Eseosa Okundia, firmly denied these claims, stating that they were false and unfounded.
