President Bola Tinubu has reassured Nigerians of the commitment of his administration to alleviate the current hardship in the country.
Tinubu who made this known during his first Christmas message on Sunday, promised that his administration will continue to implement more palliative measures to alleviate the hardship occasioned by the removal of petrol subsidy.
Acknowledging that the past six months of his administration had been a time of relentless change in the country, the President pledged to place Nigeria on a path of “irreversible progress”.
He said, “I am aware that the necessary reforms we are implementing to achieve a more prosperous, peaceful nation for all have imposed unique sacrifices.”
He added, “My administration will continue to implement palliative measures to ease the burden on the most vulnerable, address current hardships and alleviate the suffering of all our nation’s people.”
However, the President in the spirit of Christmas, urged Nigerians to extend the warm embrace of kindness to those who need it around them.
