A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Nasarawa State, Haladu Akwashiki, has defected from the party, to join the All Progressives Congress in the state.
Akwashiki, who declared his interest in joining APC through a letter dated January 31st, cited the exceptional leadership qualities of the party across all levels as the primary motivation behind his decision to join the party.
In the letter addressed to the Chairman of the APC in his Nassarawa Eggon ward, in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nasarawa state, the football administrator pledged unwavering loyalty to the leadership of the broom party.
Akwashiki however assured to actively contribute his quota to the development of the APC at every tier of governance.
