The National Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress Political Commission, Professor Theophilus Ndubuaku, has commended Senator Nenadi Usman as a person of integrity, capable of leading the Labour Party as its Caretaker Committee Chairperson.
In an interview with Vanguard, Ndubuaku stated, “Her appointment was a collective decision involving all stakeholders, including the party’s Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and Governor Alex Otti.”
He debunked claims of NLC conditions for recognizing the Caretaker Committee, “We were consulted and happy with the development.”
Ndubuaku emphasized the NLC’s support for democratic processes, “We believe in giving everyone an opportunity to contest elections.”
He expressed confidence in Usman’s leadership, “She will bring a motherly approach to resolving party differences and repositioning the party.”
Ndubuaku noted the party’s success in winning Lagos and Abuja, “It indicates the party’s potential for growth, and we expect all stakeholders to rally around the new leadership.”
He reiterated Usman’s suitability for the role, “Her integrity and leadership skills make her the right person to lead the party’s repositioning efforts.”
