The impeached Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the process leading to his removal, accusing lawmakers of disregarding constitutional procedures.

Speaking to a large crowd of supporters at the Speaker’s Lodge, 47 GRA Ikeja, Lagos, on Saturday, Obasa categorically denied the allegations of corruption that served as the foundation for his impeachment, calling them “impossible.”

“The lawmakers did not follow constitutional procedure in removing me as Speaker,” Obasa stated. He further remarked, “I am not disturbed, I am not afraid of the developments that happened at the assembly.”

The former Speaker also refuted accusations of financial mismanagement, dismissing them as baseless and without merit.
