Obi not hiding after S’Court defeat, says Tanko

The Labour Party campaign organisation has denied the allegation that its 2023 presidential flag bearer, Peter Obi, is not going into hiding after losing at the Supreme Court.

Recall that the Supreme Court, on Thursday, ended the 171-day legal tussle to nullify the election of President Bola Tinubu with the rejection of the election appeals filed by Obi and the Peoples Democratic Party counterpart, Atiku Abubakar.

After the court’s ruling, Obi’s silence on the media has kept many worried about his whereabouts.

Also, efforts to reach Obi’s media aide, Tai Emeka Obasi, after the apex court judgment was also unsuccessful. As of the time of filing this report, his line was still switched off, according to the Punch.

However, the spokesman of the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council, Yunusa Tanko, has cleared the air about the whereabouts of his principal.

He said that unknown to many, the LP candidate travelled out of the country long before the Supreme Court notice arrived.
