Omokiri knocks Obi for not commenting on naira’s recovery against dollar

A socio-political activist, Reno Omokiri, has attacked the 2023 presidential aspirant under Labour Party, Peter Obi, over his failure to comment as naira gains little value against dollar.

In a tweet on his official X handle, Omokiri blasted Obi to learn to appreciate little effort the country is making.

According to him, the naira has continued to appreciate against dollars and is now trading at ₦1610 to $1 at both official and parallel markets.

He wrote, “The floated Naira continues to appreciate at both the official and parallel markets. It gained ₦6 and is trading at ₦1610 to $1. Let us celebrate small progress like this. Do you know why? Because enemies of Nigeria will celebrate and overflow negativity.

“Take Peter Obi, for example He will not tweet when the Naira gains value. He will not post when the Nigerian Stock Exchange becomes the most profitable on Earth.

“He will be missing when our GDP grows by 3.4% in the latest NBS data. You won’t see him when it is reported that our oil imports have reduced by 50%.

“But let something remotely negative occur and Obi will be bringing out his megaphones and start singing, ‘Go Tell It On The Mountains”.
