Omokri warns Wike to strategize battles ahead of 2027 election

A former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has cautioned Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory Minister, to adopt a more strategic approach in his political battles.

Omokri urged Wike to prioritize his efforts and avoid spreading himself too thin, lest he risk jeopardizing his chances in the 2027 presidential election.

In a statement, Omokri advised Wike to focus on supporting President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in the FCT, rather than engaging in a feud with Senator Ireti Kingibe.

He noted that Kingibe’s ability to cause harm is minimal and that Wike’s energies would be better spent winning votes in the FCT, a traditionally opposition-leaning territory.

Omokri’s warning comes amid a public dispute between Wike and Kingibe, with Wike threatening to prevent Kingibe’s re-election.

The former aide’s comments have sparked debate among political analysts, who see Wike’s approach as potentially divisive and counterproductive.
