Ondo gov, others pay tribute to late monarch Oluyede

Eminent Nigerians have paid tribute to the late Alayede of Ayede Ogbese, Oba Ajibola Olaleye Oluyede, who recently passed away.

 

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo state led a delegation to the Royal Ranch in Ayede Ogbese to offer final respects and extend condolences to his widow, Olori Olufunmilayo Nejo-Oluyede.

 

Aiyedatiwa said: “While I mourn the Oba Oluyede, I also celebrate his remarkable life of service to his people, the state, and the nation. He will be missed for the peace and tranquility witnessed in his domain.”

 

The Amapetu of Mahin Land, Oba Segun Williams Akinyomi, led other traditional rulers from Ilaje Local Government to bid farewell and offer condolences to the monarch’s wife, Olufunmilayo.

 

Other eminent Nigerians described the late monarch as “an exceptional king who used his ancestral stool in the service of humanity.”

 

The monarch’s children, Dr. Olufunto Oluyede-Campbell and Prince Adetunmbi Oluyede, celebrated their late father’s life in grand style. Prince Adetunmbi Oluyede said: “My father left a legacy of love, generosity, and selfless service to God and mankind. I pledge to build on the solid foundation he laid to continue impacting lives and changing society for the better.”

 

Dr. Olufunto Oluyede-Campbell described her late father as “a generous and hardworking man who took great care of his family. He brought his children up in the way of the Lord and was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether you were close to him or not.”
