The Chief Whip of the Senate, Orji Kalu, has revealed his interest in the senate presidential seat in the 10th National Assembly.
The Abia North representative who got a return ticket to the House made the revelation while briefing newsmen at the National Assembly on Tuesday.
The former Abia State governor made his intention public in line with other of his colleagues in the House with the view to gathering their support.
According to Punch, aside from Kalu who has publicly indicated an interest in the position, Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom); Sani Musa (Niger); Barau Jibrin (Kano); and Dave Umahi (Ebonyi) are also said to be interested in running for the coveted office.
The APC leadership said it has not zoned the Senate presidency.
